Right. We are sending fuckers to a desert island for the rest of their lives. But don’t worry we are loading their iPods up with 5 of their favourite albums of all time, and 2 side tracks too, cos who doesn’t love a bit on the side? (Jokes, be faithful. As fuck.)
We’ve had Jay’s, but what would Jose take?
SIGNATURE. JOE. 2009.
Joe is my favourite singer, so I simply had to include one of his albums. It was tough to choose this ahead of a few others, especially My Name is Joe but I enjoy this one from top to bottom. Well, apart from the guest song at the end.
LEGALIZE IT. PETER TOSH. 1976.
If I’m gonna be stranded on a desert island I’m gonna need some Reggae. And this is a top album for chilling out to.
REASONABLE DOUBT. JAY Z. 1996.
Jigga is my man, and while I hold this, The Black Album and The Blueprint in similar esteem, this has proven to have more playback appeal over the years and makes the journey with me.
A NIGHT AT THE OPERA. QUEEN. 1975.
My favourite album by my favourite band. Don’t hate.
TRANSITION. RYAN LESLIE. 2009.
This was a tough one, thought about going with Jack Johnson’s In Between Dreams simply for the beach element, but it’s not one of my favourite albums so had to go with R Les. Again tough choice between albums but this one just creeps in.
Still In Love With You (live). Thin Lizzy. 1975.
Something. The Beatles. 1970.
